In Detail

FinditinBirmingham is hosting a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event on Thursday 12th July 2018, where local companies can hear about the supply chain opportunities available with Birmingham-based contractors like Bouygues UK, BAM Construction, Colmore Tang and many more.

The event at the Council House, Victoria Square, aims to see local firms benefit from the impressive development opportunities that are cementing Birmingham’s status as an investment hotspot and number one destination.

The organisers want the breakfast event, which starts at 7am until 9.30am, to provide information about the Big City Plan from Birmingham City Council which will outline its progress and future plans and introduce attendees to buyers connected to the redevelopment of Snowhill, Paradise, Centenary Square and many more.

Claire Smith, Head of Events, said: "Birmingham currently has some of the biggest development schemes it has seen for a generation, so we wanted to provide an opportunity for one-to-one meetings with buyers from some of the major construction companies, all under one roof.

"Our aim is to see the local supply chain involved as much as possible in everything from labour to plant hire, drainage to lighting and much more. This is a fantastic opportunity for the region’s businesses who want to be a part of the rapidly changing skyline to meet the contractors delivering a future Birmingham.”

The event will welcome buyers from Bouygues UK, Wates Construction, BAM Construction, Colmore Tang, Interserve and Honeybourne Construction.

In addition, Galliford Try and Torsion Group will attend the event as delegates to meet the local supply chain.
