Living Wage Week is the annual celebration of the Living Wage movement in the UK and we’ll be celebrating with a series of flagship webinars. We invite you to join us on Tuesday 10 November at 2pm for our event ‘Rebuilding with the Living Wage in the West Midlands’.

Paying the Living Wage has always been about doing the right thing; even when times are tough. The pandemic has shown just how much we need each other to get by and shone a light on the crucial role of cleaners, delivery drivers and millions of others in low-paid, insecure work. Now, more than ever, we need to recognise and celebrate employers who do the right thing by workers and their families and pay the real Living Wage.

This event will recognise and celebrate employers who are doing the right thing by workers and their families, paying the real Living Wage.

It also provides an opportunity for those organisations interested in the real Living Wage to gain an introduction to the network.

This online webinar will feature guest speakers, interactive audience polls and a Q&A.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Host: Paul Faulkner - CEO, Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce
  • Deborah Cadman - CEO, West Midlands Combined Authority, with a message from Mayor Andy Street
  • Cllr John Cotton - Chair of the Making Birmingham a Living Wage City Action Group, Birmingham City Council
  • Gavin Jamieson - Head of Supply Chain, Morgan Sindall Construction
  • Laura Gardiner - Director, Living Wage Foundation
  • Further panelists TBA

Please submit any questions you may have for the panelists by emailing: sebastian.bachelier@livingwage.org.uk
