Business Growth West Midlands: The journey to becoming a better business
3rd June 2025 10:00 to 11:30 Free

780,000 disabled people in the WMCA region are disabled, which accounts for 26.7% of the region’s population. Disabled people have a spending power of £30.9 billion per year in the West Midlands and £274 billion across the UK.
Through this series of three webinars, business leaders will be empowered to create accessible and inclusive employee and customer experiences. They will gain invaluable insights into the economic potential of inclusivity, the benefits of inclusive work cultures, and how these can enhance recruitment and retention.
Join Alice Hargreaves, a social entrepreneur based here in the West Midlands, who will share her lived experience as a disabled and neurodivergent person. Alice founded the organisation SIC in 2021, which works to close the disability employment gap by supporting disabled individuals at any stage of their careers while training businesses to be more accessible and inclusive. Clients include the NHS, Network Rail, UKRI, the University of Warwick, the Charities Aid Foundation, and Maverick Games.
