This is an invitation to attend a Stakeholder Event for the ‘Provision of Therapeutic Interventions for children adopted from care and their adoptive families’ administered through the Adoption Support Fund on:


Monday 5th December 2016, 2:00-4:00pm at Lancaster Circus, 1 Lancaster Circus, Birmingham, B4 7DJ. Room G01A.


The Council seeks to bring together providers of Therapeutic Interventions to this event.


There will be an overview of the programme and an opportunity for you as providers to take part in a discussion for the Local Authority to understand the range of Therapeutic Interventions that you can offer in this initial phase of funding.


The range of therapy support services within the scope are:


  • Sensory Integration Therapy
  • Systemic Therapy
  • Filial Therapy
  • Psychotherapy
  • Theraplay
  • Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy
  • Creative Therapies (art, music, drama, play)
  • Specialist clinical assessment where required (e.g. Foetal Alcohol SpectrumDisorder)
  • CAMHS assessment, multidisciplinary assessment including educationand health, cognitive and neuropsychological assessment
  • Therapeutic parenting training
  • Extensive therapeutic life story work
  • Respite care (where it is part of a therapeutic intervention)
