The March event features a special presentation from Jane Schofield, managing director of the city’s newest luxury destination Hotel La Tour. Jane will explain how her focus on being an excellent employer creates a high-morale culture that translates into premium levels of customer service.

Hannah Davies, a Trading Standards Officer and Simon Williams, an Environmental Health Officer with Birmingham City Council’s, Regulation and Enforcement Division will be speaking about the role they can play in relation to local businesses and the support they can provide.

For a more in-depth discussion, one-to-one slots are available for five-minute face-to-face meetings with the Trading Standards and Environmental Health teams. Anyone keen to speak to the team should book their place at the breakfast meeting first, then email claire@finditinbirmingham.com to request a one-to-one.

"Customer service is an essential topic for every business,” said Claire Smith, finditinbirmingham’s event manager. "We’re delighted to welcome Jane Schofield from Hotel La Tour, whose hospitality industry experience offers a unique insight into the importance of customer satisfaction – and how to make it happen. The one-to-one opportunities with the city’s Trading Standards team can also help to make sure that companies deliver what they promise, which is a key ingredient in the customer service mix. We’re expecting a great turn-out for our ‘Focus on customer service’, so members should book their places quickly.”

Places can be booked online, where basic or non-members can also upgrade to Premium or Corporate Membership for less than £1 per member per week.
