Birmingham landlords, housing groups and property companies can take advantage of a new home energy assessment scheme.
ENTA Green has launched the new project to reduce fuel poverty in the city.
The community interest company (CIC) has completed the training of fifteen new recruits who will be working across communities to provide free home energy assessments.
The team is keen to work with homeowners, tenants, social housing groups and landlords and is not restricted to any particular type of accommodation or area.
All assessments will be conducted by one of the trained, CRB-checked Energy Experts and be impartial to any energy provider.
Each assessment takes up to one hour and is followed up with a report giving information about structural and/or behavioural changes that could reduce the cost of energy bills.
As part of the assessment, the assessors can also signpost individuals towards Warm Home Discounts for means-tested benefit claimants and elderly customers.
Landlords, housing groups and property companies that could benefit from the free home energy assessment service should contact project manager Jason Fry on 0121 380 4805 or at jasonfry@route2energy.com
