Aerospace Industry in Mexico Free Webinar
31st July 2014 07:30 to 10:00 Free
UK Trade & Investment Mexico is hosting a free webinar to share information and key business opportunities in the Aerospace Industry in Mexico.
This webinar will help UK companies to gain a better understanding of the industry; recent trends, key players and key business opportunities in Mexico’s growing aerospace industry.
Mexico has become the third largest global exporter in the aerospace sector. The industry has grown 20 per cent per annum in the last seven years. In 2012, Mexican aerospace exports were worth US$5 billion, while FDI in the sector exceeded US$1.3 billion. Mexico has been the largest aeronautics FDI worldwide recipient in the last four years and the sixth largest supplier to the US, the world’s largest aerospace market.
Currently, there are more than 300 companies and support organisations, most of which have NADCAP and AS9100 certifications. Mexico has built its vocation as a manufacturing, engineering and development centre with high strategic value. This is due to the degree of technological sophistication of its exports, engineering talent (Mexico has the largest number of graduates in the Americas) and the quality and competitiveness of its workforce.
The UK and Mexico have a growing commercial relationship in the aerospace sector and, with shrinkage of the industry in Europe, British suppliers should consider Mexico as a target market and a key partner.
Join UKTI to learn more about the aerospace industry in Mexico and hear the success story of a British company already doing business in Mexico.
